From 16 to 18 September 2026, the SURFIT consortium gathered in Southern Sweden for its latest consortium meeting, hosted between Lund University and SLU Alnarp.

Wednesday, 16 September began at the International Institute for Industrial Environmental Economics (IIEE) in Lund, followed by lunch and a walk through Lund Market Hall (Saluhallen). The group then visited Hub and Café Lund before heading back to the IIEE for coffee and possible podcast recordings. The afternoon featured WP4 Cross-case comparison (Part I) and a WP5 discussion on webinar planning, film scripts, and the portal.

Thursday, 17 September moved to SLU Alnarp, opening with breakfast and coffee. The day covered WP4 Cross-case comparison (Part II), feedback from the survey in Italy and Poland, SURFIT reporting requirements, and cross-project fertilisation with lessons from the CULTIVATE project. Sessions on planning future articles and next steps for finishing the project followed, along with a study visit to Alnarp Agroecology Farm. The day ended with dinner at Ruth’s in Malmö.

Friday, 18 September included a visit and introduction to Ödet Urban Community Centre, a discussion with Sitha from Malmö Food Council, and a visit to Botildenborg Social Farm & Kitchen, followed by lunch.

An optional Harvest Festival at Alnarp Agroecology Farm took place on Saturday, 19 September, celebrating the farm’s 5th anniversary.
