SURFIT Consortium Meeting in Krakow – March 2026

From 23 to 25 March 2026, the SURFIT consortium gathered in Krakow for its latest consortium meeting, hosted at the Institute of Sociology on Grodzka Street.

Monday, 23 March opened with a guided tour of Stary Kleparz and Plac Nowy, two of Krakow’s historic markets, followed by lunch in the Kazimierz district. The afternoon was dedicated to a three-hour project meeting at the Institute of Sociology.

Tuesday, 24 March began with a visit to Hala Targowa, another iconic local market, before two working sessions at the Institute — a 2.5-hour meeting in the morning and a three-hour session in the afternoon, rounded off with a group dinner at 19:00.

Wednesday, 25 March started with a visit to Parsley Market, followed by a coffee break and a visit to the ZZM Community Garden on Orla Street — a hands-on look at local urban growing initiatives. The meeting closed with a final lunch together.
